Norman Hogan
1929-1993
Brother Hogan was born in Hornbeak, Tenn., Aug. 28, 1929.
He was baptized by Joe Wilson.
Norman Hogan, an assistant professor of Social Science at
Abliene Christian College for the past six years, will
become a teacher of Social Studies and Bible at
Freed-Hardeman College beginning in September of 1968
according to an announcement by Dean E. Claude Gardner. He
graduated from high school in West Memphis, Arkansas in
1947, received the A.A. degree from Freed-Hardeman College,
the B. S. from Bethel College, and the M. A. at Memphis
State University. He attended the Harding Graduate School
of Religion in Memphis 1957-59. He graduated cum laude from
Bethel College. Mr. Hogan has been preaching the gospel for
19 years. He was born at Hornbeak, Tennessee. He married
the former Jean Marilyn Green of Friendship, Tennessee.
They have one child.

Directions to grave
From Jackson, Tenn. I-40 take highway 412 west and go about
30 miles. Turn south on Bonicord Road (look for Miller's
Chapel church of Christ sign on south side of the highway).
Go 1.4 miles (you will pass Miller's Chapel building) and
turn right. Go .3 miles and watch for entrance on the
right. A grove of trees almost covers the entrance. Norman
Hogan's grave is in the center, about the fourth row and to
the right of flag pole. GPS is N35 56 321 W89 18 977.
Millers Chapel Cemetery located west of 412 between Jackson
and Dyersburg, near Bonicord.
