Jim Lewis was born 19 August 1847 and died on May 15, 1935 in Malesus, Madison Co., TN He is buried in the Lewis Cemetery, near the Strayleaf church of Christ, in Henderson, Co., TN.
He married Mary Jowers (1852-1908). They had two children, Hessie Mae Lewis and Ellie G. Lewis (1889-1974).
