Olan Lavelle Hicks
1907-1963
Brother Hicks was born in Sulphur, Ok. on Dec. 25, 1907. He was baptized by E. A. Bedicheck, Oct. 1925. Starting teaching Bible, Greek, Church History and Church Evidences at Freed-Hardeman in 1955. Olan L. Hicks, founder and former editor of the Christian Chronicle of Abilene, Texas is one of five new members added to the 1955-56 faculty according to recent announcements by president H. A. Dixon. Hicks will succed Earl West who is returning to Indianpolis, Indiana.
