L. L. Brigance was born near Scotts Hill, Decature County,
TN May 11,1879. In the fall of 1901, he entered Georgie
Robertson Chrsitian College. He was baptized by R.P. Meeks
when he was about 18 years old (1897). He began teaching at
GRCC with brother Freed in 1904.
