you will find that old song you used to hear when you were
a child.
Lynwood has written many songs. "Gazing Upward Into Heaven"
is a favorite, published many times but made very popular
in Sacred Selections For The Church. "Some Things I'd
Change" is a later song which was recorded by the famous
Statesmen Quartet of Atlanta, Georgia. "God Is Not Dead"
was published in sheet music by the Vaughn Music Company.
This song was also published in books of his own and in
books by Holland L. Boring, Sr. Many others have been
recorded by other quartets.
Brother Smith is now the owner of the great song, "Heaven
Will Surely Be Worth It All." He also owns copyrights of
songs by some of the greatest writers in and out of the
church of Christ. Some of the brethren whose copyrights he
owns are Tillit S. Teddlie, L. O. Sanderson and Albert E.
Brumley.
He has worded for others and written for himself over five
hundred songs. Most of them have been published. He
attended singing schools held by his grandfather, T. E.
(Nong) Smith, and the Stamps schools for years.
He sponsored and arranged a chorus known as The Gospel
Lamplighters. They recorded five great records which have
been played all over the nation. He sponsored several other
quartets. Brother Smith wrote the beautiful title song of
this book. His address is Route 1, Box 151, Wesson,
